The Commander Pete Oswald Memorial Golf Tournament is an annual event held to provide a day of camaraderie and philanthropy which honors the memory of Commander Pete Oswald, fallen Navy SEAL.
Join us this year as we gather to remember Pete, and to raise much needed funds for the Navy SEAL Foundation and the Whatcom Dollars for Scholars.

Named after one of the Cascade Peaks in the near distance, Shuksan is a course that varies over 100 feet in elevation.

An Eagle Scout and 1979 graduate of Sehome High School, Commander Oswald attended Harvey Mudd College for a year prior to entering the United States Naval Academy. At Annapolis, Pete majored in Ocean Engineering, was a three year letterman in football and, in his senior season was voted to the NCAA Division 1A All-East Team at center.
Birdies for the Brave, a PGA TOUR Charities, Inc. program is a military outreach initiative supported by the PGA TOUR. Since 2005, the TOUR has joined with players , corporate partners, club members, fans, and tour employees to raise more than $13 million for charities that provide vital services and programs for military men and women and their families. Birdies for the Brave has grown to include a variety of military outreach efforts by the PGA TOUR.

The Navy SEAL Foundation provides support in times of adversity and achievement across the nation and in every corner of the globe for the preservation of our U.S. Navy SEALs, Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen, Naval Special Warfare support personnel and their families. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3), tax exempt, national non-profit charitable organization. Since 2011, the Navy SEAL Foundation has remained among the top tier of benevolent organizations for sound fiscal management, as well as sustaining a 4 out of 4-star rating from Charity Navigator. In 2015, the most recently audited fiscal year, just over 93 cents of every dollar donated went directly to support services or was retained for future mission use, including commitments to surviving families.
The Special Operations Warrior Foundation ensures full financial assistance for a post-secondary degree from an accredited two or four-year college, university, technical, or trade school; and offers family and educational counseling, including in-home tutoring, to the surviving children of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps special operations personnel who lose their lives in the line of duty. In addition they also provide immediate financial assistance to severely wounded and hospitalized special operations personnel. In 2016, the SOWF’s overhead costs were just 5.8% and they earned their 11th consecutive 4-star rating from Charity Navigator.
